Celeia Institute Celje opened its subscription season at the Celje National Hall and hosted the Amadeus Trio from Vienna at the first concert.
They first presented music created in Vienna itself, performing the first of Beethoven’s three Piano Trios Op. 1. The strong, foundational four-movement work by the young Beethoven resounded with energetic vitality in the faster movements, marked by dynamically contrasting shifts. In the slow movement, Adagio cantabile, the lyrical clarity of the lines and emotional depth came strongly to the fore.

The Amadeus Trio fully unveiled its rich sonic imagination in the stunning Piano Trio in A minor, Op. 50, which Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky composed In memory of a great artist—his close friend and mentor Nikolai Rubinstein. The composer’s only piano trio, broadly divided into two parts with the second being a monumental set of eleven variations, captivates with its dense textures, dynamic range, and beautiful melodies.
In the performance by the Viennese musicians, we could admire their incredible technical brilliance and emotional depth, refined interaction, and dynamic balance, enabling the full expressive spectrum of the music to shine - through delicately nuanced phrasing as well as dramatically intense outbursts.
The Amadeus Trio from Vienna is an exceptional ensemble of masters of the Viennese sound, who, with technical perfection, expressive depth, and a noble, mature interpretation, brought to the audience an impressive sonic cultur - one that listeners would undoubtedly wish to experience more often.

Wiener Konzerthaus - ein neues Klaviertrio aus Wien mit Amadeus in klassische Höhen

"Eine neue Kammermusik-Formation hat sich in Wien vorgestellt – und hat auf Anhieb das Publikum voll überzeugt.    Eine Überraschung, da die österreichische Pflege der heimischen Schaffenden in den letzten Jahren nach und nach an Qualitäten und Persönlichkeiten verloren hat. Drei Wiener Solisten, bestens eingespielt, perfekt auf einander abgestimmt, haben sie sich nun als exzellentes Klaviertrio im Wiener Konzerthaus präsentiert.
Als AMADEUS TRIO wird nun Klassik pur in aller Schönheit aus Wien in die Konzertsäle der Welt abgeliefert. Violine und Cello klingen wie aus einem Guss, die Klangfarben sind rein, weich, transparent, immer neue Klangfantasien lassen aufhorchen, feingliedrig wird gedacht, ein lieblicher Atem ist zu spüren. Somit: Höchst delikates Muszieren voll Empathie wird geboten. Und der ‚Amadeus‘ dazu: keine Schande, österreichische Kulturgeschichte – und klingt auch gut in den Ohren japanischer oder amerikanischer Musikfreunde."

Ein "Hochamt" der Klaviertrio-Musik   -  

Auf den Punkt gebracht

Das AMADEUS TRIO feierte im Kulturzentrum des ehemaligen Sakralraums der Welser Minoritenkirche eine Art „Hochamt“ der prominenten Klaviertrio–Literatur. Denn auf dem Programm des Abends standen mit Joseph Haydns Klaviertrio Nr. 39 samt dessen berühmtem „Alla Zingarese“–Finale, Beethovens „Geistertrio“ op. 70/1 und Mendelssohns Klaviertrio in d-Moll gleich drei Höhepunkte des Genres, die eine beachtliche Zahl an Besuchern anlockten.

Technisch jederzeit in der Lage, ein hohes, den anspruchsvollen Werken entsprechendes Niveau auszuspielen, beeindruckte das Trio auch mit dem klugen Programm-Aufbau.

Darin spürten sie einer Entwicklung nach: Sie führte von der klar ausgewogenen, „klassischen“ Form des Haydn–Opus über den mehr individuell-expressive Gestaltung bevorzugenden Beethoven zu Mendelssohns purer Romantik, die zu melodiösem Schwärmen einlädt. Das alles wurde auf den Punkt gebracht.

So entsprach Haydn ... einem Klang–Ideal, überzeugte Beethoven mit Dramatik und beglückte Mendelssohn mit schwelgerischer Melodik. 

Mit heftigem Applaus erklatschte sich das Publikum drei Zugaben ."
